Heritage Week 2026.

Heritage Week celebrates our built, cultural and natural heritage. This year, we celebrate ‘Heritage at Risk’.

To mark the occasion, there will be a guided Nature Walk in Cregduff, Cloonboo, Co. Galway on Sunday 16 August. I hope to introduce you to some of the birds, butterflies and insects in the area. We will identify some of the plants; and give you an idea of the biodiversity of this wonderful area.

There is a range of different habitats in this area; making it a haven for a good number of butterfly and bird species.

The walk will begin at the entrance gate to Cregduff plantation at 2 o’clock, and will take approximately 2 hours.

Everyone is welcome. My contact number is 087 247 9209
