Galway Grá Festival in Galway’s Latin Quarter
Experience a jubilant fusion of love, culture, and visual art at the Galway Love Festival! Expected to return for its sixth year March 2026, this beloved celebration in Galway’s vibrant Latin Quarter, promises an array of enchanting experiences.
From March 19th to 22nd, the Galway Grá Festival 2026 transforms the City of Tribes into a sanctuary for love in all its forms—romantic, platonic, and communal. Inspired by the legendary Nora Barnacle, the festival’s heart beats strongest on March 21st, the second annual International Nora Barnacle Day, celebrating the icon’s 142nd birthday.
- Culture: Literary readings at Charlie Byrne’s, mask-making workshops, and the “Nora Spills The Milk” art launch with Nuala O’Connor.
- Entertainment: “Cheesy Laughs” comedy at Sheridan’s and a “Bookshop Disco” with DJ Manniooo.
- Heritage: Historical walking tours tracing Nora and Joyce’s footsteps and Claddagh ring-making.
- Nightlife: Erotic storytelling with “Smutty Tales After Dark” and the “Fireside Sessions” finale.
With street spectacles and food tours winding through the Latin Quarter, Grá 2026 is a spirited “hooley” dedicated to humanity and heritage.
And that’s just the beginning! Enjoy the very best of culture, culinary delights, libations, entertainment, and exclusive discounts courtesy of Galway Food Tours. Whether you’re celebrating self-love, romance, or a profound love for Galway’s rich heritage and culture, Grá Fest promises to reignite your passion for the enchanting city of Galway.
