Official launch of the Ballinasloe wonder wander trail.
The launch will take place in the Ballinasloe Library (the lovely Church Gallery Space) on Friday 17th April at 11.30am

The trail is an excellent example of a community-led project coming to fruition, celebrating the rich history and heritage of the Ballinasloe Architectural Conservation Area (ACA) by showcasing some of the historic buildings and places that are valued by the local communities.
The Wonder Wander trails are developed in partnership with the National Built Heritage Service (NBHS). The trail is self-guided with maps to highlight some points of interest. The stops along the trail take in all sorts of built heritage structures, ranging from local landmarks such as churches and courthouses, to more modest buildings, including houses and shops, as well as sculpture, street furniture, water pumps and even vent pipes. Maps will be made available to local communities online and in print format in their local area.
