We’re thrilled to announce an upcoming solo exhibition by Aran Young, a Drogheda-based visual artist whose evocative and atmospheric work has captivated audiences both in Ireland and abroad.

✹ About the Artist

Aran Young was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1980 and spent his formative years moving between Australia and Ireland before settling in Galway as a teenager. Entirely self-taught in his early years, Young’s artistic passion led him to pursue a BA in Fine Art (Painting) at NCAD, graduating in 2011.

A co-founder of Hendrons Studios in Dublin, Aran helped establish affordable creative spaces for artists in the city and worked there as an artist in residence until 2018. His practice is grounded in painting, often drawing from photography for inspiration. His body of work spans painting, drawing, photography, and mural art.

Over the past decade, his work has been exhibited across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Since 2022, he has been living and working in Drogheda, County Louth.

đŸ–Œ The Exhibition

Set in the atmospheric Hall of the Red Earl in Galway’s Latin Quarter, this exhibition marks a return to the artist’s spiritual home. Young’s works explore themes of memory, landscape, and the interplay between urban and natural forms. Expect powerful imagery, expressive brushwork, and a deeply personal connection to place.

Whether you’re familiar with Aran’s work or new to his vision, this show promises a compelling glimpse into the mind of a mature and thoughtful artist.
