One of our visitors today was Jacinta Gibbons, a local  Galwegian with a passion for history and archaeology. Jacinta expressed her admiration for the meticulous work done to preserve this site and highlighted the importance of such heritage sites in telling the story of Galway’s past.

“We must ensure that these historical treasures are preserved for future generations,” Jacinta stated during her visit. “Our heritage sites not only connect us to our history but also play a crucial role in attracting tourists and boosting our local economy.”

As someone who has lived almost all of her 40 years in County Galway, Jacinta has a firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by the community. She has seen the struggles that people endure and believes that a focus on heritage and culture can be a part of the solution. Jacinta emphasizes supporting local tourism, which she believes is intertwined with the preservation of our cultural and historical sites.
