The Picture in background above is actually Quiltwork, part of an exhibition here for the week by The Patchwork Society, This one represents the Church in Gouganne Barra, West Cork, by Artist Imedla O’Grady, and is titled “The Green, Green Grass of Home.” The Patchwork Society have used a lot of recycled materials in their quilt work, fitting in with this years theme of Bio-Diversity and Sustainability for Heritage Week 2022. The Exhibition will be displayed at the Hall of The Red Earl, Druid Ln., Galway, throughout Heritage Week – Galway Civic Trust / Dúchas na Gaillimhe thanks the Heritage Council of Ireland and Galway City Council for their support.
