On Tuesday April 26th, Kylemore Abbey had the wonderful honour of welcoming the Belgian Ambassador, Karen Van Vlierberge, for a visit of Kylemore Abbey. 102 years ago, the Benedictine nuns left Belgium, fleeing World War One, to find haven in Connemara, and to this day the bond between Kylemore and Belgium has remained close.
