Galway County Council are thrilled to announce The Hare’s Corner funding scheme to support landowners and community groups across County Galway in undertaking nature-positive measures on their lands. This will be a hugely popular scheme and it will be open to applications from this Friday, March 15th. Register your interest here: www.burrenbeo.com/thc
The Hare’s Corner project offers landowners ‘hassle free’ support to carry out simple but impactful actions for biodiversity such as creation of a wildlife pond, a native mini-woodland, a heritage mini-orchard with apple trees from Irish Seedsavers Association and/or a bespoke ‘plan for nature’ or ‘peatland plan’ for their site.
This project is coordinated by Burrenbeo Trust in partnership with Galway County Council Biodiversity Office (under The Heritage Council Programme) and is funded by the Local Biodiversity Action Plan through the NPWS/NoticeNature Ireland and Greencoat Renewables.
